The BMW F 450 GS is powered by a 420 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing 48 hp and 43 Nm of torque. This new adventure motorcycle aims to attract a fresh generation of riders in India, blending cutting-edge technology with the iconic GS design.
The motorcycle is available in three variants: Base, Exclusive, and Trophy. The Base variant is priced at ₹4.70 lakh, while the Exclusive and Trophy variants are priced at ₹4.90 lakh and ₹5.30 lakh, respectively. These prices position the F 450 GS competitively in the Indian motorcycle market.
The F 450 GS features a 14-liter fuel tank and has a kerb weight of 178 kg. With a seat height of 845 mm, it accommodates a range of riders. The bike runs on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, enhancing its off-road capabilities.
This model includes advanced rider technologies such as a 6.5-inch TFT display, heated grips, and adjustable levers. Additionally, it offers four riding modes: Rain, Road, Enduro, and Enduro Pro—catering to various riding conditions.
The F 450 GS also boasts motorcycle safety features like ABS Pro and Dynamic Brake Control, crucial for ensuring rider safety in diverse environments. Furthermore, it incorporates Easy Ride Clutch and Shift Assistant Pro for clutchless operation.
The bike’s unique crankshaft offset of 135 degrees contributes to smoother operation, making it suitable for both adventure riding and city commuting. This versatility reflects BMW Motorrad’s commitment to innovation.
The launch follows four years of anticipation marked by spy shots and speculation about its features. Hardeep Singh Brar stated, “The new BMW F 450 GS is built for a new generation of adventure riders, as it embarks on a bold new chapter in the GS legacy.” Initial reactions highlight excitement among enthusiasts eager to experience this blend of performance and technology.
