Xiaomi Launches the Redmi A7 Pro 5G in India

“Advertisers are moving beyond the ‘Wild West’ of web and app inventory and asking for three specific things: brand safety, deterministic signals and cross-device unity,” stated Eugene Lu, a key figure at The Trade Desk, during the launch event of Xiaomi’s latest smartphone.

Xiaomi officially launched the Redmi A7 Pro 5G smartphone in India on April 13, 2026. This model marks a significant milestone as it is the first Pro variant in the Redmi A series, showcasing Xiaomi’s commitment to enhancing its product offerings in the competitive smartphone market.

The Redmi A7 Pro 5G boasts a 6.9-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, designed to provide users with an immersive viewing experience. Additionally, the device features a peak brightness of up to 800 nits, ensuring visibility even in bright conditions. These specifications position the Redmi A7 Pro 5G as a formidable competitor against other flagship models, including the Oppo Find X9 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Xiaomi’s strategy has been to act as a gateway to consumers, leveraging its diverse inventory of devices to reach a broader audience. Currently, the company holds a global market share of 13.3% in mobile devices, with a staggering 754.1 million monthly active users on mobile platforms. This extensive user base is supported by Xiaomi’s hybrid supply model, which includes more than 30 owned-and-operated apps.

Lu emphasized the importance of brand safety in the current advertising landscape, stating, “By owning the hardware, we can guarantee brand safety and offer a direct, clean supply path.” This approach not only enhances user experience but also builds trust with advertisers looking for reliable platforms to reach their audiences.

The launch of the Redmi A7 Pro 5G is expected to further solidify Xiaomi’s position in the Indian market, where competition is fierce. The brand’s ability to innovate and adapt to consumer needs has been a key factor in its growth, and this new model is likely to attract both existing and new customers.

As Xiaomi continues to expand its product lineup and improve its advertising strategies, industry observers will be keen to see how the Redmi A7 Pro 5G performs in the market. The company’s focus on integrating hardware and software solutions may provide it with a competitive edge in the evolving mobile landscape.
