Suthar articulated, “Gill was making me feel very free, and he supported a lot.” This statement underscores the importance of a supportive captain in high-pressure situations. In context, Suthar was retained by the Gujarat Titans for Rs 30 lakh in the previous IPL auction after initially being acquired for Rs 20 lakh in 2024. His retention reflects the team’s confidence in his abilities as they aim to build on their successful title run in 2022.
