Fii q4 stake reduction stocks

Foreign institutional investors have shown a cautious stance by significantly trimming their stakes across various sectors in Q4 FY26, indicating a potential shift in market sentiment. This trend is particularly evident in mid-cap stocks, where FIIs have engaged in extensive portfolio rebalancing and profit booking.

Key reductions:

  • FIIs trimmed their stake in Urban Company Ltd from 65.63% to 55.77%, a decrease of 9.86%.
  • In Manappuram Finance Ltd, the stake fell from 28.78% to 23.23%, down by 5.55%.
  • Aavas Financiers Ltd saw a reduction from 24.72% to 16.74%, marking a decrease of 7.98%.
  • Restaurant Brands Asia Ltd experienced a drop from 16.82% to 10.59%, which is a decrease of 6.23%.
  • ICICI Bank Ltd’s stake was reduced from 43.87% to 34.48%, down by 9.39%.

This pattern of stake reduction reflects broader market dynamics, as FIIs have consistently decreased their holdings in several mid-cap stocks over the past four quarters. For instance, Max Healthcare Institute Ltd saw its stake reduced from 50.55% to 45.39%, representing a decrease of 5.16%. Additionally, Bliss GVS Pharma Ltd’s stake fell from 14.54% to 10.45%, down by 4.09%.

FIIs have also decreased their investment in CarTrade Tech Ltd from 64.58% to 60.15%, a decline of 4.43%. Landmark Cars Ltd experienced a similar trend, with its stake dropping from 9.82% to just 5.05%, marking a decrease of 4.77%. Furthermore, Five-Star Business Finance Ltd saw its FII ownership reduced from 52.95% to 48.48%, down by about 4.47%.

As of March 2026, FIIs have steadily decreased their stake in Adani Total Gas Ltd to 12.75%, down from 13.22% the previous year, reflecting ongoing caution among foreign investors regarding this sector.

The healthcare sector and financial services appear particularly affected by this trend, as evidenced by the significant reductions noted above—indicating that foreign institutional investors are recalibrating their strategies amid evolving market conditions.
