Punjab Police Operations Yield Significant Results
In a series of coordinated operations, the Punjab Police have recovered an RDX-laden IED, four pistols, and a substantial quantity of narcotics. These operations have led to the arrest of 14 individuals linked to foreign-based terror and drug modules, underscoring the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement in the region.
Among the notable achievements, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force has seized 1,215 MDMA tablets and approximately 5.50 kilograms of various narcotics. These efforts reflect the Punjab Police’s commitment to combating drug trafficking and enhancing public safety.
Recruitment Drive Announced for Constables
In addition to its operational successes, the Punjab Police has announced a recruitment drive for 3,297 Constable vacancies, aimed at bolstering the police force across districts. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to strengthen law enforcement capabilities in the state.
The online application process for the Constable positions is set to commence on March 10, 2026. Candidates interested in applying must have completed Class 12 or an equivalent examination. The recruitment includes 2,522 vacancies in the District Police Cadre and 775 in the Armed Police Cadre.
Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of Rs 19,900, with eligibility criteria specifying a minimum age of 18 and a maximum age of 28 for applicants. This recruitment drive is expected to attract a significant number of candidates, reflecting the growing interest in joining the police force.
