LPG Gas Price Increases Across Major Cities in India

Oil marketing companies have increased the prices of non-subsidised domestic LPG gas cylinders by ₹60 across metropolitan cities in India. The price for a 14.2 kilogram gas cylinder has risen from ₹853 to ₹913 in Delhi, marking a significant hike that affects many households.

In addition to Delhi, the new rates for LPG cylinders have also been set at ₹912.50 in Mumbai, ₹939 in Kolkata, and ₹928.50 in Chennai. These changes come as part of a broader trend in rising energy costs, attributed largely to the ongoing conflict in West Asia, which has impacted global energy prices.

Moreover, the rates of commercial LPG gas cylinders have seen an increase of ₹115, further straining businesses that rely on these fuels. The revised prices of LPG gas cylinders have come into effect from today, reflecting the immediate impact of these adjustments on consumers.

This is not the first instance of price hikes in recent months; the price of domestic cooking gas was previously increased by ₹60 per cylinder on March 7, 2026. Such frequent adjustments have raised concerns among consumers about the affordability of essential cooking fuels.

As the situation evolves, observers are closely monitoring the potential for further increases in LPG gas prices, especially if energy costs continue to rise globally. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any future adjustments or government interventions to stabilize prices.
