Significant Increase in LPG Gas Prices Across India

Oil marketing companies have increased the prices of non-subsidised domestic LPG gas cylinders by ₹60 across metropolitan cities in India. The price for a 14.2 kilogram gas cylinder has risen from ₹853 to ₹913 in Delhi.

In Mumbai, the new rates for LPG cylinders will now be ₹912.50, while in Kolkata, consumers will pay ₹939. Chennai residents will see their prices set at ₹928.50.

This increase in LPG gas prices is not limited to domestic cylinders; rates for commercial LPG gas cylinders have also been raised by ₹115.

The revised prices of LPG gas cylinders have come into effect from today, reflecting ongoing trends in energy pricing.

The price hike is attributed to increased energy prices due to the conflict in West Asia, which has impacted global oil markets and, consequently, domestic pricing.

Previously, the price of domestic cooking gas was hiked by ₹60 per cylinder on March 7, 2026, indicating a pattern of rising costs for consumers in recent months.

As these new rates take effect, observers are closely monitoring the situation to see how these price changes will affect consumer behavior and overall market dynamics.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding any potential future adjustments or government interventions in response to these price hikes.
