The iGOT platform, which serves as the backbone of this initiative, offers more than 4,600 competency-linked courses, enabling over 1.5 crore government officials to engage in continuous learning. To date, officials have logged upward of 8.3 crore course completions on this platform, illustrating the program’s extensive reach and impact.
Dr. R Balasubramaniam, a key figure in the initiative, remarked, “Mission Karmayogi is playing a key role in making government officials future-ready and transforming the capacity-building ecosystem in the country.” This sentiment reflects the mission’s commitment to equipping officials with competencies suited to their responsibilities, thereby shifting governance from a rule-based to a role-based approach.
The Capacity Building Commission (CBC), established in April 2021, collaborates with all 30 States and Union Territories to create tailored Capacity Building Plans. As part of its forward-thinking strategy, the mission includes AI-based training sessions designed to familiarize officers with emerging technologies. With 70 completed case studies in the Amrit Gyaan Kosh repository, the mission continues to build a robust knowledge base that supports ongoing learning and application of best practices.
