The 19th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to commence on March 28, 2026, with RCB playing five home games at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
RCB enters the tournament with renewed confidence after ending their 18-year trophy drought by clinching their maiden IPL title in 2025. They achieved this milestone by defeating Punjab Kings by just six runs in a thrilling final.
In the previous season, Sai Sudharsan emerged as a standout player, winning the Orange Cap with an impressive 759 runs. Meanwhile, Prasidh Krishna took home the Purple Cap, claiming 25 wickets throughout the tournament. Additionally, Suryakumar Yadav was recognized as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of IPL 2025.
RCB’s roster also saw the emergence of young talent, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi making headlines as the youngest IPL debutant at just 14 years old.
As the excitement builds for IPL 2026, details regarding the complete schedule remain unconfirmed. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to release the schedule in two phases, with the venue for the games being determined based on election dates across various states in India.
