Dhurandhar: The Revenge Set to Release
The upcoming dhurandhar movie, titled ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, is poised to make a significant impact upon its release in theatres on March 19, 2026. The film has already generated considerable buzz, with advance bookings exceeding Rs 18 crore, indicating strong audience interest.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel follows the success of the original film, ‘Dhurandhar’, which premiered on December 5, 2025, and grossed over ₹1300 crore worldwide during its theatrical run. The original film’s narrative focused on an undercover Indian spy infiltrating a Baloch gang led by Rahman Dakait.
In ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, Ranveer Singh reprises his role as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, also known as Hamza. This character’s journey is expected to resonate with audiences, especially given the film’s high stakes and dramatic storyline.
The sequel is set to be released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, broadening its appeal across diverse audiences. This multilingual approach is anticipated to further boost its box office performance.
Advance sales in North America have also shown promise, with a total gross of approximately USD 890,000 and USD 2 million projected for the opening weekend. In the US alone, 38,545 tickets have already been sold, showcasing the film’s international reach.
Notably, the Hindi version has contributed around Rs 12.07 crore to the total advance gross, while the overall gross across all languages for ‘Dhurandhar 2’ stands at Rs 12.29 crore.
As anticipation builds, the film’s promotional activities are expected to ramp up, potentially leading to even higher advance bookings. The character of Jaskirat Singh Rangi, portrayed by Singh, is set to deliver impactful lines, including the notable quote, ‘India will determine Pakistan’s future.’
