The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is preparing to announce the Class 10 Board Examination 2026 results, expected by mid-April. This announcement comes as over 43 lakh students await their results after completing their exams on March 11, 2026.
Schools have been instructed to upload internal marks from April 8 to April 17, a crucial step in the results preparation process. The results may be declared anytime after the second week of April, with officials emphasizing the importance of timely completion to avoid delays. Sanyam Bhardwaj, an official from CBSE, stated, “Timely completion of this process is key to declaring results without delay.”
This year marks a significant change in the examination format, as CBSE has introduced a two-phase examination system for Class 10. This new approach aims to provide students with more flexibility and opportunities to succeed. Preparations for this dual examination format have been completed, with strict checks in place to maintain accuracy.
In total, CBSE conducted exams at 8,074 centres for Class 10 and 7,574 centres for Class 12, ensuring a wide reach for the examinations. The Class 12 exams concluded on April 10, 2026, with results expected by the third week of May.
Students will have multiple options to check their results, including official platforms such as cbse.gov.in and results.nic.in. Additionally, they can access their results through DigiLocker, SMS services, and IVRS calls, enhancing accessibility for all students.
For those who may not pass in one or two subjects, CBSE has announced that students will have another chance through compartment exams. This provision aims to support students in achieving their academic goals despite setbacks.
As the results preparation process unfolds, the early timeline is being linked to the upcoming second phase of exams scheduled in May.
