The Honda City facelift is intended to keep the existing model fresh until the next-generation model arrives in 2028. Recently, the 2027 Honda City facelift has been spotted testing in Brazil, indicating that preparations are underway for its launch.
Expected to debut in India before Diwali 2026, the facelift will introduce several design changes. These include a revised grille, new bumpers, and updated headlamps, enhancing the vehicle’s aesthetic appeal.
Despite the visual updates, the engine lineup will remain unchanged, featuring a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine. This engine produces around 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque, ensuring consistent performance.
Pricing for the facelift is anticipated to see a slight increase compared to the current model, with the starting price projected to be around ₹12 lakh. The hybrid variant is expected to be priced between ₹18–20 lakh, reflecting the growing demand for eco-friendly options.
In terms of technology, the facelift will include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), aligning with modern automotive trends.
Mileage figures are expected to remain similar to the current model, with the petrol manual variant delivering around 17–18 kmpl, catering to efficiency-conscious consumers.
The updated model will comply with E20 fuel compatibility and BS6 emission norms, ensuring it meets regulatory standards.
The Brazilian version of the facelift is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2026, setting the stage for its Indian launch.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding the exact launch date in India and specific feature additions.
As the automotive market evolves, the 2027 Honda City facelift aims to maintain its competitive edge against rivals like the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus.
