Air India Flights Resume Operations
Air India and Air India Express are set to operate a total of 58 flights linking India with key destinations in West Asia, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. This resumption comes as travel demand between these regions increases, providing enhanced connectivity for travelers.
Starting March 12, 2026, IndiGo will also resume flights to nine destinations in the Middle East, further expanding options for passengers. Air India is currently operating one round-trip flight from Delhi to Jeddah and two round-trip flights from Mumbai to Jeddah, catering to the growing number of travelers.
In addition, Air India Express is operating one round-trip flight from Bengaluru to Jeddah and another from Kozhikode to Jeddah. The airline is also providing services from Delhi and Mumbai to Muscat, with two round-trips from Kozhikode to Muscat, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the region.
Both Air India and Air India Express are also offering one non-scheduled round-trip service to Riyadh from Mumbai and Kozhikode, which adds to the flexibility for travelers heading to Saudi Arabia.
To accommodate the increased demand, the airlines have scheduled 78 extra flights between March 10 and March 18, 2026, specifically on long-haul routes. This move aims to facilitate travel during a peak period for passengers.
Travelers are advised to check flight status regularly, as schedules may change at short notice. IndiGo has cautioned that “Flight schedules may change at short notice,” highlighting the dynamic nature of air travel.
Moreover, Air India Express has announced that guests traveling to and from the Gulf region to India are eligible for a free date change or cancellation for travel scheduled until March 31, 2026. This policy aims to provide additional flexibility amid ongoing uncertainties in travel planning.
As the situation evolves, details remain unconfirmed regarding further expansions or adjustments to flight schedules. Passengers are encouraged to stay informed as more updates become available.
