Xiaomi 17 Ultra Launches in India
Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 17 Series in India, unveiling two flagship smartphones — the Xiaomi 17 and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is positioned as a premium device, featuring a 6.9 inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 3,500 nits.
Weighing 218.4 grams, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra also boasts an IP68 rating, providing protection against dust and moisture. It is powered by a robust 6,000 mAh battery, supporting 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring users have a reliable and efficient power source.
The camera capabilities of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra are particularly noteworthy. It features a 1-inch LOFIC main camera sensor, a 50 MP main camera, a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultrawide lens. This advanced camera system is designed to enhance smartphone photography, with innovations such as the LOFIC sensor technology that significantly increases the sensor’s full-well capacity.
Sandeep Singh Arora commented, “Xiaomi 17 delivers a well-rounded flagship experience in a compact form factor, while Xiaomi 17 Ultra pushes the boundaries of smartphone photography with innovations like LOFIC sensor technology and continuous optical zoom.” The Ultra model also features a Leica 200MP telephoto system with 75–100mm mechanical optical zoom.
In terms of pricing, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is set at ₹1,29,999, while the standard Xiaomi 17 starts at ₹89,999. Both devices will be available starting March 18, 2026.
Additionally, Xiaomi is running a promotional offer called ‘Never Run Out,’ where the 512GB model will be priced the same as the 256GB variant during the launch period. This initiative aims to attract more customers by providing added value.
Both the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 run on Xiaomi HyperOS 3.5 out of the box, ensuring a smooth and efficient user experience. The introduction of these models marks a significant step for Xiaomi in the competitive smartphone market.
