On February 25, 2026, Nensi Patel achieved a significant milestone in her cricketing career by becoming the first Indian-born cricketer to represent the New Zealand women’s cricket team. The historic moment took place at Seddon Park, where Patel received her White Ferns cap, marking her official entry into the national squad.
Patel’s journey to this point has been remarkable. Born in Karamdi village, Gujarat, India, she moved to New Zealand with her family at the age of six.
