Surbhi Khandelwal, the 34-year-old daughter of Hemant Khandelwal, the Madhya Pradesh BJP president, died unexpectedly on March 11, 2026. She suffered a heart attack shortly after undergoing routine physiotherapy at 11:30 AM, with her passing confirmed at 12:00 PM.
Hemant Khandelwal, who also serves as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Betul constituency, returned to Betul from Bhopal immediately following the news of his daughter’s demise. The last rites for Surbhi were conducted at 5 PM in Betul, marking a somber day for the Khandelwal family and their supporters.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed his condolences, stating, “The untimely demise of Surbhi Khandelwal, the esteemed daughter of the honorable state president of @BJP4MP, Shri @Hkhandelwal1964 ji, due to illness is extremely heartbreaking.” This sentiment reflects the widespread shock and grief felt within the community.
