In addition to the release of the exam paper, the GSSSB is currently accepting applications for the Junior Geologist Recruitment 2026. There are a total of 43 openings for the Junior Geologist positions, with the application process having started on March 6, 2026. Candidates have until March 20, 2026, to submit their applications.
The application fees are set at Rs 500 for the General Category and Rs 400 for SC/ST/Women candidates. The last date for fee payment is March 23, 2026.
Salary and Benefits
For those selected, the salary for the first five years is Rs 49,000 per month. After five years, the salary will range from Rs 39,900 to Rs 1,26,600, depending on the individual’s performance and tenure.
Reservation Policy
The government provides a 27 percent reservation for OBCs in direct recruitment to civil posts and services, as established by an office memorandum dated September 8, 1993. This policy aims to enhance opportunities for OBC candidates in government employment.
