Bihar Civil Court Releases Admit Cards for Peon Exam

Bihar Civil Court Releases Admit Cards

The Bihar Civil Court has officially released the admit cards for the recruitment examination for Civil Court Peon posts. The preliminary examination is scheduled to take place on March 15, 2026.

Candidates are required to download their admit cards from the official website, as individual copies will not be sent. The recruitment drive includes a total of 7,692 vacancies across multiple posts, including 3,325 positions for clerks, 1,562 for stenographers, 1,132 for court reader-cum-deposition writers, and 1,673 posts for peon or orderly under Group D.

Eligibility for the peon or orderly role mandates that candidates must have passed the Class 10 matriculation examination. Furthermore, the age limits for applicants are set between 20 and 25 years as of October 1, 2024.

Candidates must carry their admit card and a valid photo ID to the examination centre. The admit card will include essential details such as the candidate’s name, photograph, roll number, exam date, reporting time, and exam centre information.

In a related incident, a bomb threat was received at the Patna Civil Court on February 9, 2026, which delayed a bail hearing for Pappu Yadav, who was arrested in connection with a case originating from 1995. The bail application for Yadav was scheduled for the same day.

Advocate Shivnandan Bharti commented on the bomb threat, stating, “We have been told that a bomb threat has been received on the email address of the District Judge.” Yadav’s arrest followed questionable police action, and he has since been moved to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) under judicial custody due to his deteriorating health.

As the examination date approaches, candidates are reminded that entry into the exam hall will not be permitted without both the admit card and a valid photo ID. “Candidates must appear at the centre mentioned on their admit card on the date and shift allotted,” an official stated.

The position earlier listed as ‘Peon/Orderly’ will now be referred to as ‘Attendant [Peon (General + Orderly)]’.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding any further developments surrounding the bomb threat incident and its impact on court proceedings.
