“IMPCC plays a pivotal role in facilitating the government communication in a coordinated manner,” stated Smita Vats Sharma, Director General of the West Zone at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a workshop held on March 24, 2026, in Nagpur, India.
The workshop, organized by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) Nagpur, focused on “Media and Communication Strategies to Enhance Organizational Outreach.” It aimed to improve communication within governmental organizations and agencies across the public sector.
More than 40 Central Government institutions participated in the meeting, which took place at the Chitinvis Center Civil Lines. The DG emphasized the importance of sharing updates with the PIB to enhance media outreach.
The PIB has been proactive in facilitating media visits from other states to showcase Maharashtra’s development projects, furthering the goal of effective communication.
In a related legal context, the Allahabad High Court recently ruled on a case involving procedural issues in court transfers. The court stated, “The absence of prior notice under Section 24, by itself, does not vitiate the order of transfer in the absence of demonstrable prejudice,” as articulated by Dr. Yogendra Kumar Srivastava.
This ruling highlights the importance of procedural integrity while also recognizing the need for practical outcomes in legal processes.
Dr. Srivastava further noted, “Where the defect stands effectively remedied by a lawful transfer to a competent court, insistence on return of plaint would amount to elevating form over substance.” This statement underscores the court’s focus on substantive justice over procedural technicalities.
As the workshop concluded, participants expressed a commitment to enhancing their communication strategies, ensuring that government initiatives are effectively conveyed to the public.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding any immediate follow-up actions or additional workshops planned as a result of this meeting.
